Taking Photos
The studio menu, styles, the queue and the gallery.
Studio pages
Type /evstudio to open the studio. Add a model to open it with that vehicle, for example /evstudio adder. The menu has five tabs on the left.
Vehicles
Every vehicle your framework knows, with the number of players who own it. Filter the list by Owned, Missing, Ready or Failed, or search by name or spawn code.
Select vehicles and press Photograph to add them to the queue. Select all missing picks every vehicle without a photo.
A vehicle that is not in your framework, such as an addon car, can be added with Add addon and its spawn code.
Studio
This is where you design the photo. The preview shows the car as it will look, and every change shows up right away.
The list on the right holds the parts of the photo:
| Part | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Background | A colour, gradient, spotlight, studio wall, picture, or a real place on the map. |
| Floor | Shadow and reflection under the car. |
| Car | Lights, roof, windows, doors and the inside light. |
| Light | The daylight, the shine on the paint and a coloured glow around the car. |
| Camera | The angle, height and field of view. Drag the preview to turn the camera. |
| Photo | The shape (fits the car, wide, square and more), the car size and the picture size. |
| Text and Picture | Up to three of each, such as the vehicle name or your logo. |
Use Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y to undo and redo.
Styles
Save the current look as a style, so every photo for a garage, dealership or Discord looks the same. Applying a style later sets every part at once.
Real places
Under Background > Real place, photograph the car where you stood, in one of the garage interiors, or at a place you saved. In a real place, drag the car to move it and pick the weather, time of day and a colour filter.
Test shot
Take a test shot before a long queue. It shows the finished photo and its size per layer, so you can check it fits under MaxLayerKB.
Queue
The queue photographs the selected vehicles one by one. Each photo takes a few seconds. You can pause or stop it at any time.
While the queue runs, the studio is locked, so every photo in the run gets the same look. Pause the queue to change something.
Gallery
Every saved photo, newest first. Open one to retake it, delete it, or see its link when uploads are on.
How a photo is made
In the empty studio, the car is shot four times: in black paint, with a white primary, and with a white secondary over a black backdrop, then in black paint over a white backdrop. Comparing the two backdrops cuts the car out with soft edges and see-through glass. The paint shots let other resources repaint the car in any colour without a new photo.
In a real place, the car is shot three times and the background stays in the photo.
